Stephanie is a certified teacher with the Calgary Board of Education and has over 20 years of experience supporting a wide range of ages and abilities. Stephanie understands the importance of being a lifelong learner and has completed her Master of Education degree in Special Education, specializing in blindness and visual impairments. She demonstrates strong leadership skills developed through completion of the School Leadership Qualification Standard course delivered by the University of Calgary and is continually building staff capacity and creating resources for her school community which supports complex learners.
Through her education and experiences, Stephanie believes that every student can be successful. Her area of expertise specializes in developing and assessing student Individual Program Plans (IPP’s). She recognizes the importance of collaborating with parents and various professionals including physio, occupational, and speech and language therapists to fully understand the unique abilities and supports needed for each learner to ensure success.
Stephanie is a very friendly, patient, and enthusiastic educator who recognizes the importance of establishing a connection with students. Her positive attitude creates a learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and sharing their thought processes. She thoroughly enjoys her time with students and strives her best to ensure they have the tools to succeed.
