Tara Lavender
Executive Function Coach
B.A., B.Ed., M.Ed.
Registered Provisional Psychologist
Tara’s dream was to become an educator from a very young age. As a six-year-old girl, Tara spent her free time playing “school” by lining up her dolls (and her siblings), taking class photos, creating worksheets, and teaching them the ways of the world. Tara’s dream came to fruition when she became a Grade 6 teacher in 2012.
She taught upper elementary music and academics for nine years before deciding to return to school herself. Tara completed her Master’s in School and Applied Child Psychology in June 2022. For the past two years, she has worked closely with children and adolescents with Learning Disabilities and ADHD. She is currently completing the requirements for becoming a Registered Psychologist.
Tara is passionate about helping students to recognize and leverage their unique talents and strengths and to develop skills to overcome areas of challenge. Her underlying goal is to build confidence and self-understanding in her clients so they can actively pursue their goals and experience success and fulfillment in their lives.
